    About this artwork

This is about Gogo station on the old road. When I was young we were living there. We used to collect the coloured rocks from the hills, all different colours. Our mothers too and parents collected stones. We would gift it to our teachers and people as a gift from our country.

    About Nola Rogers

Nola is the daughter of Walka Molly Rogers, a founding member of Mangkaja Arts in the 90s and an important cultural keeper for the Walmajarri who walked out of the desert in the 60s to eventually settle at GoGo station. Nola is new to painting and her works are centered around growing up at GoGo Station with expressive mark making. She lives at Guardi Aged Care in Fitzroy Crossing.
