    About Ngantiri Hogan

    Biography Painter, wood carver, weaver and senior woman from the Spinifex people (Pila Nguru). Born at Tjulapi rockhole in the Great Victoria Desert, Western Australia. Her language is Pitjantjatjara and her home is Tjuntjuntjara. Hogan walked in to the Cundeelee Mission to escape a period of drought and nuclear testing at Maralinga (1956-1963). She first joined the Spinifex artists around 2001 travelling with the group on painting trips to record and document her extensive knowledge of the area. A meticulous painter with well refined sense of colour and composition. She has exhibited widely and her works are now held in several public and private institutions
