    This work on paper depicts a weaving design, based upon the fi (twine) constructed from merrepan (sand-palm) fibre, which is then used to weave dilly bags and fish nets.

    Miriam Byrnes, originally from Daly River, paints weavings designs and bush tucker designs at Durrmu Arts, as well as working at the Centrelink office. Miriam lives at Peppimenarti with her husband and children.
