    About this artwork

Manjatjara was his mothers country , the two water snake men (wati kutjarra) were a father and a son, they were camping near Manjatjara.  The father left the son at the rock hole to grow up.  The people there were cruel to him because he looked strange.  The father became angry and came back to get his son.  When the son was a man, he went back to kill everyone at the rock hole and ate them.  Only one person escaped.  The snake slithered away to a rock hole, but he was too full and vomited blood, fat and hair.  The one who escaped speared him and he split open.
