A week to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Recognition is not enough and the theme of this years NAIDOC Week of GET UP! STAND UP! SHOW UP! acknowledges that systemic change is needed and all Australians need to be part of that, particularly in the areas of environmental, cultural and heritage protections, Constitutional change, a comprehensive process of truth-telling and working towards Treaties.

Our small part in this process is to showcase and celebrate the intersection of culture and contemporary art. This month we are featuring wonderful art by Aboriginal Artists working at Art Centres owned and run by Aboriginal communities from all around Australia, and you won’t need to break the bank (or the credit card).
