Isaac Lane is a young emerging artist from the Tjungu Palya Art Centre. Isaac was born in Kalgoorlie and moved to Kanpi in 2022 to live with his partner. Isaac started as an arts worker, stretching and preparing canvases for the other artists, however after seeing photos of his Grandfather Simon Hogan’s work in an art book, he was inspired to pick up a brush and give painting a go. Now it is difficult to wrestle the brush out of his hands. He has quickly developed a bold, bright and experimental painting style. Isaac easily flows between brush work and dot painting, and his work is a popular favourite with visitors to the art centre.
