About this artwork
Bruce Parker paints with the knowledge of past lifetimes, having spent his formative years travelling the significant sites with his immediate family. Here he depicts the sites of Katala and Mamutjara. At Katala, one must dig for the water in a large depression consisting of three soaks. Spinifex grass is then placed in the dug holes, allowing the sandy water to filter through. At Mamutjara, there is also three water sources.
